Above is the incredible picture of the Australian Sea Dragon. This dragon has been caught on film by a deep sea diving BBC film crew off the coast of Melbourne, Australia in October 2009.

Here at Dragon Zoo we research and respond to all dragon sightings and this has to be one of the most fascinating pieces of film footage we've seen all year.

The first sea dragon we ever sighted was the Scottish Sea Dragon. Lucy Arnold visited the Lochs of Scotland and found the incredible creature. The Scottish Sea Dragon is a very different species to the Australian Sea Dragon. They vary in greatly in size and agility. But both sea dragon species do share a similar trait. They are very difficult to find!
