How to Train Your Dragon: (2010)

The Chronicles of Narnia - The Voyage of the Dawn Treader: (2010)

Adventures of a Teenage Dragon Slayer / I Was a 7th Grade Dragon Slayer: (2010)

The typical tale of a downtrodden high school nerd turned hero is the order of the day here, when a 7th grader, his two friends and his mum (from Back to the Future) team up to defeat the dragon and the sinister vice-principal of his school. Pretty terrible straight to DVD fodder that goes for a throwaway 80s vibe with a CG dragon and a Gollum-esque Troll. Misses the mark by some way.

Alice in Wonderland: (2010)

Christopher Lee cameos as the Jabberwocky in the fun climax to Tim Burton's entertaining live action remake of Alice in Wonderland. Whilst the screen time is limited, the dragon design and action sequence is pretty fun and make this a movie that features a dragon that's well worth a look.

Your Highness: (2011)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2: (2011)

Dragon Crusaders: (2011)

Age of the Dragons: (2011)

A pretty serviceable CGI Wyvern is hunted by Danny Glover's Ahab (yes as in Captain Ahab). This is Herman Melville's classic tale Moby Dick, repurposed from the sea to the mainland, and instead of a white whale, it's a great, big fire breathing white dragon. This has plenty of dragon action and is completely watchable SyFy fare, but could have been so much better with the talent involved.

Dawn of the Dragonslayer: (2011)

The Dragon Pearl: (2011)

Sucker Punch: (2011)

Dungeons & Dragons 3: The Book of Vile Darkness: (2012)

47 Ronin: (2013)

The Hobbit - The Desolation of Smaug: (2013)

Dracono: (2013)

Maleficent: (2014)

How to Train Your Dragon 2: (2014)

The Christmas Dragon: (2014)

The Hobbit - Battle of the Five Armies: (2014)

Dragons of Camelot: (2014)

Mythica - A Quest for Heroes: (2014)

Mythica - The Darkspore: (2015)

Mythica - The Necromancer: (2015)

DragonHeart 3 - The Sorcerer's Curse: (2015)

I am Dragon / On - Drakon: (2015)

A generally well received romance fantasy movie where a young couple fall in love - with a twist - the male love interest is also a dragon. Stunning visuals and well acted, this Russian dragon movie is well worth a look if you're after a good dragon movie or fantasy romance.

Seventh Son: (2015)

Tale of Tales: (2015)

Inside Out: (2015) (A blink and you'll miss it appearance of a dragon.)

Pete's Dragon: (2016)

Mythica - The Iron Crown: (2016)

Mythica - The Dragon Slayer / Mythica - The Godslayer: (2016)

Bright: (2017)

In this modern day set fantasy, orcs, elves and humans live together. All we get to see in this movie is L.A., with lots of magic wands, orc and elf action and a blink and you'll miss it dragon flying over the city at night. This suggests there's more to come from the franchise in the already confirmed future installments, and hopefully, some dragon action!
