The Webbed River Dragon

The Webbed River Dragon

The Webbed River Dragon is a small poisonous dragon that loves fresh water habitats. When not swimming quickly through the murky depths of a river in search for fish and other sources of nutrition, the river dragon likes to crawl up trees near to the river bank to stay safe and hidden from larger predators.

Whilst the river dragon canít fly, its small frame means it can spring between trees with ease, using its vantage point from high up in the branches to spot prey on the bank or in the water below and springing down to attack from above. The dragonís poisonous bite is sufficient to immobilise smaller predators and prey, but for larger opponents, the Webbed River Dragon needs to rely on a little help from its peers, a posse of river dragons biting an opponent can immobilise even the largest of predators.

The Webbed River Dragon

Trivia: The Webbed River Dragon builds its nests in the branches of trees like a bird. This keeps the small dragons safe and hidden from other water dragons until ready to fend for themselves.
