Australian Big Foot

Australian Big Foot Dragon

You don't need to be a private detective to figure out where this dragon was first discovered!

A group of students visiting Ayers Rock in Australia got more than they bargained for when they discovered this dragon amongst the kangaroos of the outback.

With its massive feet and powerful leg muscles this dragon can reach incredible heights from a standing jump, but unlike other dragons, its smaller than usual wings mean it can only glide rather than fly. With such a reliance on its mammoth feet and legs to propel itself into the air, this dragon likes to stick to the flats of the outback and avoids mountainous or heavily populated areas.

This dragon is one of the few dragon species here at Dragon Zoo which is a herbivore, but that doesn't mean it can't fight when it's called for. The Australian Big Foot can fire jets of flames, and it also makes good use of its large protruding bottom teeth to not just chew at vegetation, but to bite its way out of trouble if attacked. Being one of the smaller species, you'll often see the Big Foot leaping away from danger in the blink of an eye.

Trivia: The Australian Big Foot Dragon Species can jump up to 130 feet in the air from a standing jump. That's an incredible 90 feet higher than the world's hoppiest kangaroos!
