Dragon Zoo Security Team Members Required

Dragon Zoo requires experienced security experts specialising in animals. Measures will need to be in place at the Zoo at the specific request of MI5 to ensure the threat from these animals is contained. The security team will need to be able to respond to incidents both in the zoo and those that are reported nationwide for dragon sightings, potential dragon eggs etc. The zoo is fully responsible for ensuring the safety of the United Kingdom and will be the only suitable storage location for any dragons that are discovered. To be able to meet these requirements an experienced team of individuals is essential.

Team members will require experience working with animals of a dangerous nature, they will need to be able to work both autonomously and in a team environment. Team members will also need to go on specialist training to ensure that they are able to assist members of the public both in the zoo and elsewhere, in the event of an unsecured dragon incident.

Dragon care assistant / Vet (2 Posts) Required

The zoo requires two positions to support the existing team of dragon care assistants. Full training will be provided due to unique nature of the animals. Daily activities with the animals will include health checks, excercise sessions, infant dragon zone inductions and feeding. We currently have two species of dragon at the zoo, fire breathing land based dragons and marine dragons, both of which will need to be supported. A wide range of skills will be necessary to face the diverse challenges set caring for such extreme creatures and therefore a good level of experience in roles of a similar nature will be required. Past experience in any of the following fields would be considered essential for the posts; safari/zoo/wildlife reserves, caring for larger animals of a dangerous nature, animal dental experience. Experience in any of the following fields would be favoured but is not essential; deep sea diving/extreme outdoor survivalists/stunt work (working with fire)/extreme sports (sky diving/bungie jumping). Must be available for on call requirements in case of emergency.

Fire Zone Dragon Pen Assistant

Dragon Zoo is in need of an experienced zoo pen assistant to clean out and tend to the zoo's Fire Zone pen. This is an artificially created but fully natural terrain for the fire breathing dragons to live in at the zoo and requires a team of workers to sustain. Job roles will include cleaning the cave of dragon excrement, assisting the dragon carers with food and water supplies and ensuring all vegetation and natural elements of the zone are upheld. Previous experience in the following fields is essential; Zoo/safari/reserve work with large animals of a dangerous nature (please provide details), working with fire and knowledge of fire safety equipment, knowledge of vegetation and gardening (upkeep of habitat). The following previous job experience is preferred but not essential, Fireman, Welder, Military experience. (please note. due to questions we have already fielded about this position we need to clarify that applicants named George are not automatically shortlisted due to St. George and the dragon. We need dragon assistants, not slayers.)

Dragon Nest Hotel Manager

Due to the pressures of other commitments we are now in the look out for a new hotel manager at the Dragon Nest Hotel. Essential requirements for the position are as follows; previous hotel managerial experience, franchise work. Preferred but not essential; theme park managerial experience, working with animals, fire safety trained.

Dragon Zoo Gift Shop Worker

A vacancy has appeared for a position in our gift shop at Dragon Zoo. The prospective employee must have previous sales
and customer service experience with the ability to meet targets and daily high standards of work. A good amount of knowledge on all of our gift shop items is essential.
Must be enthusiastic about all things dragon related; books, games, movies, comics, toys and pictures.
